Our History
The story of our artisanal production begins in 2007. That year, Michel Creveuil (shopkeeper) and Stéphane Marguerie (pastry chef), two leading figures in Sainte-Mère-Eglise, decided to combine their skills to passionately create Le Biscuit de Sainte-Mère-Eglise. An entrepreneurial adventure based on a desire to satisfy the taste buds of all gourmets by relying on artisanal know-how and the authenticity of quality, local products.

Starting with a blank sheet of paper and a multitude of questions (what range of biscuits? What name for the company? What equipment to use? etc.), it is thanks to the complementarity of their stories, their skills as well as their mutual trust that the first biscuits were able to see the light of day, two years later.

Success was immediate. After a phase of work to develop the boutique and tea room, quickly completed in the following months by the restaurant and chocolate shop, it was in 2010 that the birth of the Biscuit de Sainte-Mère-Eglise was confirmed.
Keen to promote the town and its exceptional environment, Le Biscuit de Sainte-Mère-Eglise has developed around creations that have become essential, such as the small parachute-shaped shortbread.

The teams have grown with the arrival of qualified and recognized professionals bringing their know-how, their high standards, and their experience. All pay particular attention to the choice of raw materials by selecting quality ingredients, the most noble and natural possible, to innovate and create gourmet and "homemade" products, without colorings, preservatives, or additives. Our artisanal production is a simple pleasure, to share!

Today, the company is run by Mr. and Mrs. Marguerie. Together, they manage the biscuit-chocolate shop-restaurant-tea room located in Sainte-Mère-Église, the historic heart of the business.
In May 2025, a new store also opened in Colleville-sur-Mer, marking a new stage in the brand's development.
Both are important players in local tourism and actively contribute to the attractiveness of Sainte-Mère-Église thanks to their commitment and their passion for the gourmet heritage of the Cotentin.
